INTRODUCTION from JOHN BUCCHINO

Dear Music Educator,

I’m currently booking my master classes and wanted you to know the types of classes I offer.

In general, the students learn songs of mine from one of my two songbooks (“Grateful, The Songs Of John Bucchino” and “It’s Only Life”) or the score of my Broadway show, A CATERED AFFAIR. They perform them for me and I offer support and suggestions in a 3 to 3 ½ hour class. Sometimes, after a day of additional private coaching, we perform a concert together. I’m flexible in tailoring the class structure to fit your specific needs.

Also, my Ovation Award-winning musical revue, IT’S ONLY LIFE, is now available for production and may be licensed through Rodgers and Hammerstein Theatricals. The show is written for 5 singers and piano, but may be expanded for any number of performers. For a more extensive learning opportunity, I’m available to come coach the cast and accompany them in one or more performances of the show. 

Whatever form the teaching takes, my goal is to broaden the singers’ perspective on what is possible in the performance of my (or anyone’s) songs, to encourage them to find their own emotional truth in the interpretation of words and notes. I also hope that discussion of my career and creative process will inspire them to pursue their own unique path, discovering their strengths and continuing to narrow their focus as to where their deepest passion lies and how they might best offer their gifts to the world.
